Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with UN Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States Abdallah Al Dardari to discuss ongoing cooperation in human development and healthcare. Talks focused on Egypt's comprehensive healthcare reform, supported by UNDP, aiming to enhance hospital infrastructure and improve medical services, according to the Egyptian Cabinet. The meeting also covered the establishment of a modern hazardous medical waste treatment complex in Suez governorate. Additionally, discussions addressed Egypt's role in providing humanitarian and medical aid to Palestinians, as well as potential UNDP collaboration in Gaza's reconstruction, including building hospitals and healthcare units.
