Egypt's Top 50 Women Forum will unveil its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award later this month to honour exceptional Egyptian women with decades-long careers across key sectors, the forum announced on Thursday. The award will be presented during the tenth edition of Amwal Al Ghad Awards Ceremony, set to take place on June 23 under the patronage of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly. The first of its kind in Egypt, the award recognises women who have made sustained, high-impact contributions in fields such as politics, business, education, arts, and culture. Eligible recipients must have at least 30 years of documented achievements, leadership or innovation in their fields, measurable impact, and a legacy of mentorship and excellence. The award is designed to showcase genuine Egyptian women's leadership as role models and innovators, said Dina Abdel Fattah, founder and chairperson of the Top 50 Women Forum. These women have carved out non-traditional career paths and earned recognition on both regional and global stages, she added. The initial awardees include some of the most influential figures in Egypt and the broader Middle East, noted for their service in both public and private sectors, as well as their role in advancing Egypt's development agenda. Abdel Fattah noted that the award—selected through a merit-based scientific nomination process—is part of the forum's broader mission to highlight and document the professional and humanitarian achievements of Egyptian women, reinforcing their importance in the country's national identity and future growth. The Top 50 Women Forum is a platform launched to promote female leadership across Egypt's economic and policy-making landscape and encourage more women to play leading roles in national development.
