Magazine, the founder of Top 50 Women Forum, will sign on October 22 an agreement with the National Council for Women (NCW) and Egypt's Central Bank to launch Women Leadership Development Mentorship programme.
This is the first deal of its kind signed between public and private institutions, aiming to develop women holistically for the future professionally, individually, and spiritually to excel in all political, economic, and social fields.
The Women Leadership Development Mentorship includes a top-down flow of knowledge and expertise from Top 50 women Forum members to develop the mentees' leadership skills. Each member assists her mentee to develop robust leadership skills in a variety of business settings.
Amwal Al Ghad Magazine founded Top 50 Forum in 2016 as the first think tank in Egypt.
The forum includes the top fifty of the most influential women in Egypt that were ranked in The Top 50 Annual Ceremony organised by Amwal Al Ghad Magazine last January 27th under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Ministry.
Maya Morsy, Head of Egypt's National Council for Women, said the agreement is a distinctive model for joint work among the county's associations and private sector. It targets an economic empowerment for women and preparing a new generation of distinguished women capable of making a real change in Egypt, she added.
The agreement comes in line with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's invitation of launching the Egyptian Woman Year, 2017 as well as 2030 strategy of empowering the woman in many sectors.
"The National Council for Women aims at establishing a positive cooperation relationship with the Central Bank of Egypt as the leader of monetary reforms and Egyptian banks, and Amwal Al Ghad Magazine as a private leading media outlet that founded a women forum supportive of the Egyptian Economy Top 50 Forum," Maya said.
She further added that the programme's first stage targets women from 30 to 39 years old. It will start accepting younger women in future stages so they can be perfectly capable of taking over leading positions and making real change.
Lobna Helal, CBE's Deputy Governor and member of Top 50 Women Forum, said the agreement comes within the central bank's growing interest in women empowerment programme.
"There are joint work groups among all parties who will formulate the training programme content and provide effective tools to assist new generations of leading women," Helal stated.
She referred that the programme is set to witness the top 50 mentors, who represent the largest private and governmental associations in Egypt, upgrading the trainees' abilities to be reliable leaders in the future.
The Egyptian woman was perfectly capable of taking on several leading positions including four ministries, Helal elaborated, saying:" We also witnessed the first female governor in Beheira."
Nevine El-Messeery, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ahli United Bank-Egypt, stated the bank supports all initiatives that advocate the technocrat women to build a better future for Egypt.
Ahli United Bank's headquarter in Bahrain pays attention to the empowerment of women in the framework of achieving the financial inclusion, El-Messeery showed.
Also, El-Messeery added that Ahli United Bank strongly supports the directions of national associations. These associations aim at empowering women who play an active role towards the society and making use of their experience in advocating the women's file and coming out with new generations capable of making a real change.
Dina Abdel Fattah, Editor Chief of Amwal Al Ghad Magazine and founder of Top 50 Women Forum, said that the programme aims at extending the existence of talented women in the private and public sectors.
Abdel Fattah pointed out that the idea of the programme came to share the vast experiences of the Top 50 Women Forum to empower younger generations of female technocrats and assist them to attain leadership positions. These positions will create a radical shift towards achieving gender equality.
She also stressed that this step is a considered continuation of Top 50 Women Forum's successes in adopting and supporting pioneering women.
These women are to create a necessary step to overcome the obstacles related to development and enhance deeper understanding of the role of leading women in Egyptian society, she noted.
This is an international role as leaders of change and a new front for the future women's participation the corporate arena in addition to strengthening women's regional Egypt.
