Egypt's Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation and Egypt's Governor at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Rania Al Mashat has met with the CEO of the United Nations' Generation Unlimited initiative Kevin Frey to explore avenues for expanding collaboration on youth skills development and employment. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 2025 Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings in Algeria. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation within the framework of the Egyptian edition of Generation Unlimited, known as Shabab Balad. The initiative supports national efforts to develop young people's skills, boost job opportunities, and foster entrepreneurship. Al Mashat highlighted the upcoming launch of Shabab Balad Academy, which aims to provide young Egyptians with knowledge and skills aligned with labour market needs.
