The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed higher on Tuesday, with all major indices ending in positive territory. The benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.87 per cent to close at 31,629.34 points. The EGX33 Shariah-compliant index advanced 0.67 per cent to 3,243.04 points, while the EGX70, which tracks small and mid-cap stocks, gained 0.39 per cent to 9,295.93 points. The broader EGX100 index climbed 0.65 per cent to finish at 12,638.38 points. Total market capitalisation stood at 2.23 trillion Egyptian pounds. Arab and foreign investors were net buyers, recording net purchases of 1.84 billion pounds and 6.61 billion pounds, respectively. Egyptian investors were net sellers with total sales of 8.44 billion pounds, according to exchange data. Top gainers on Tuesday 1. Shares of the Egyptian Modern Education Systems soared by 10.53 per cent, to close at 0.441 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Beltone Holding jumped by 8.05 per cent, to close at 2.550 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of Fawry for Banking Technology and Electronic Payment surged by 7.78 per cent, to close at the price of 10.670 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers on Tuesday 1. Shares of Creast Mark for Contracting and Real Estate Development dived by 11.25 per cent, to close at the price of 0.710 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of GMC Group for Industrial Commercial and Financial Investment sank by 4.76 per cent, to trade at the price of 1.400 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
