The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended lower on Sunday, with broad-based declines across major indices. The benchmark EGX30 index fell 0.71 per cent to close at 31,713.7 points. The EGX33 Shariah-compliant index dropped 0.94 per cent to 3,249.84 points, while the EGX70 index of small and mid-cap stocks declined 0.91 per cent to 9,332.21 points. The broader EGX100 index also lost 0.91 per cent, ending the session at 12,659.34 points. Total market capitalisation stood at approximately 2.24 trillion Egyptian pounds. In terms of trading activity, Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers, with net outflows of 1.74 billion pounds and 5.39 million pounds, respectively. Non-Arab foreign investors were net buyers, recording net inflows of 1.74 billion pounds. Top gainers 1. Shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group soared by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 0.996 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) climbed by 19.99 per cent, to trade at the price of 33.610 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals jumped by 19.33 per cent, to the purchasing price of 252.400 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. Shares of Creast Mark for Contracting and Real Estate Development plunged by 19.23 per cent, to close at 0.840 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Universal for Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) sank by 8.94 per cent, to close at 1.120 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
