The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed higher on Tuesday, supported by broad-based gains across major indices and strong buying by Arab investors. The benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.37 per cent to close at 31,692.77 points, while the EGX33 Shariah-compliant index advanced 0.67 per cent to 3,291.21 points. The EGX70 index, which tracks small and mid-cap stocks, gained 0.28 per cent to 9,462.02 points, and the broader EGX100 index added 0.34 per cent to settle at 12,811.15 points. Market capitalisation reached 2.25 trillion Egyptian pounds. Arab investors were net buyers with 3.81 billion pounds in inflows. Meanwhile, Egyptian and non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers, offloading 3.56 billion pounds and 251 million pounds worth of shares, respectively. Top gainers 1. Shares of the Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy – Panda climbed by 10.88 per cent, to close at 4.180 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of General Silos and Storage jumped by 10.02 per cent, to close at 211.890 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT surged by 6.22 per cent, to close at the price of 109.940 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. Shares of the Egyptian for Tourism Resorts declined by 9.68 per cent, to close at the price of 8.400 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Creast Mark for Contracting and Real Estate Development fell by 8.65 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.950 Egyptian pounds a share. 3.
