Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday with Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh to discuss developments in the Horn of Africa and ways to enhance regional stability. The talks covered bilateral efforts and the trilateral coordination mechanism with Somalia. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Somalia in combating terrorism and preserving its territorial integrity. The meeting also addressed efforts to restore peace and stability in Sudan, as well as safeguarding the Red Sea. They stressed the importance of strengthening governance and security measures among littoral states while rejecting any role for non-coastal nations in this framework.
