Egypt and Djibouti have strengthened their bilateral ties with the signing of a new agreement to develop renewable energy infrastructure. The agreement, signed by Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mahmoud Essmat and Djibouti Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yonis Ali Guedi will see Egypt supply and install a 276.5-kilowatt photovoltaic power plant in Djibouti. The project is part of a broader effort to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of renewable energy. Egypt will also provide technical assistance and training to Djibouti's energy sector. The solar power plant is expected to boost Djibouti's energy capacity and support economic development in the region. This partnership aligns with both countries' commitment to sustainable development and the transition to cleaner energy sources.
