The Egyptian National Democratic Party (NDP) Policies Secretary Gamal Mubarak described a question by a female graduate as rather confronting. She had asked him for his opinion on the Iranian crisis. When he answered, she stood up once more and said: "I'm talking about the concerns about what Iran is doing; it's funding Hamas, Syria and Hezbollah, its attempts to impose its point of views on Egypt, and its eagerness to possess nuclear weapons." "I've tried to answer, but perhaps I've been a little bit diplomatic" he said, adding: "We said we reject any interference in Arab countries' affairs." Mr. Mubarak had encouraged the graduates to ask whatever they wanted. "You can ask about public issues and take advantage of my being an NDP member. Besides, we also have a minister here" referring to Minister Rachid, who was sitting close to him, although alone, on the stage. Minister Rachid Mohamed Rachid called on the graduates to change the work culture. "We must learn to do everything, even cleaning, without any shame. I'm actually teaching my children to do so" he said, pointing out that the real competition has become in the work culture. As for Dr. Hany Hilal, he said his assistant is a female graduate of the Future Generation Foundation.
The graduation ceremony was divided into various parts. The main one was when some graduates presented their success stories and praised the Foundation's courses, which include linguistic skills, the use of computers, communication and team work. The trainers also showed methods to carry out the training stages and screened a film with the opinions of some company representatives about the Foundation graduates. Mohamed Farouk Hafeez, the Secretary General of the Foundation, said that 90% of its students found a job in the first weeks after their graduation and that nine places are managed with the same quality nationwide. He also affirmed that the Outstanding Graduate project will include 10,000 graduates by the end of this year. He also explained that the Foundation has so far trained 40,000 graduates since it was set up in the year 2000.
