Cairo - Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Egyptian defense attachés, who are accredited to foreign countries. The meeting was held on Saturday on the occasion of launching a training course organized by the Institute for Diplomatic Studies from May 7 to 11. In statements, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the training course will focus on a host of issues, topped by the Egyptian foreign policy, diplomatic protocol, immunities and privileges, role of women in diplomatic action, human rights, diplomacy and media and securing embassies abroad. Speaking on the occasion, Shoukry said that this training course represents greater cooperation between the foreign and defense ministries in serving the national interests, according to the spokesman. He further stressed that the Foreign Ministry is ready to offer full support for the defense attachés before they undertake their mission abroad, the spokesman added.
