Cairo - Egypt's Foreign Minister 'Sameh Shoukry' met with the German national security advisor upon arrival in the capital Berlin Wednesday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said. Their discussions focused on bilateral relations and a number of issues of mutual interest, especially the regional crises in the Middle East, Abu Zeid said. Shoukry briefed the German official on Egypt's evaluation and its vision on the situation in Libya and Cairo's efforts to bridge the gap among the Libyan rivals, the spokesman added. The Egyptian top diplomat also addressed the developments in Syria and efforts to push the political negotiations forward. The talks also touched on boosting Egyptian-German ties in various fields, including the economic, social and cultural, as well as tourism.
