President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi received Tuesday a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss security developments in the region, Al Bawaba News reported. The leaders discussed counter-terrorism efforts as well as ways to settle the Syrian and Libyan crises, presidential spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef said. Al Sisi praised the role of both Russia and the United States in the fight against terrorism to restore peace in Syria, Youssef added. Putin and Al Sisi also reviewed means to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in light of the significant boost that occurred recently, between both countries on the political and economic levels, Youssef added.
