The Cairo Court of Appeal will consider Wednesday, a recusal demand by 10 April 6 Movement convicts against judge Mohamed Nagy Shehata in a retrial over protest law breach accusations, al-Bawaba news reported. The convicts' defense presented Mr. Shehata's statements allegedly revealing his political views and showing his hostility towards the defendants. The court sentenced the April 6 Movement members to life in prison in absentia in past August, over accusations of protesting, crowding, possessing publications and fireworks, and forming a movement that aims at overthrowing the regime.
