The Court of Cassation will refer the file of Guidance Bureau Incidents case to the Appeal Court, in preparation for the retrial of Muslim Brotherhood leaders, a judicial source told Youm7 news Tuesday. The court overturned the sentences the defendants, including the Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and his deputy Khairat al-Shater, and ordered them a retrial on Monday. In past February, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced 14 MB leaders to life in prison, and sentenced 4 others to death. Prosecution had accused the defendants of committing murders inciting violence, possessing unlicensed weapons, joining militant group and rioting. Incidents took place in front of the Guidance Bureau in Mokattam, following the uprising of June 30, 2013 which ousted the former President Mohamed Morsi. Incidents led to the death of 12 persons and injury of 91 others.
