Egypt has strongly condemned the "cowardly terrorist attack" that targeted the village of Manda in Niger's southwestern Tillaberi region, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt expressed deep outrage at what it described as a "heinous terrorist act" which targeted innocent worshippers outside a mosque. The statement reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with the government and people of Niger in confronting terrorism and extremism. Egypt extended its sincere condolences to the victims' families and to the Nigerien government and people, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. Cairo also urged the international community to step up support for Sahel countries in their fight against terrorist groups and to work collectively to eliminate extremist strongholds and combat terrorism in all its forms.
