Sri Lanka's expat remittances up in June '25

Sri Lankan workers remitted $635.7 million in June 2025, marking a more than 22 per cent increase from June 2024, as reported by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
Remittances in 2024 amounted to $6.57 billion. From January to June 2025, remittances exceeded $3.7 billion, showing an 18.9 per cent rise from the previous year for the same period, as per CBSL data.
