African Union's Envoy to South Sudan Alpha Oumar Konare left the International Cairo Airport on Wednesday after a three-day visit to Egypt, Al Bawaba News reported. The African diplomat held meetings with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to discuss the recent developments related to the peace agreement between South Sudan's president and his vice president. Konare discussed with Al-Sisi the ways to overcome the current challenges impeding the agreement, expressing his appreciation to the Egyptian efforts to support stability in South Sudan. On the other hand, Konare was keen to congratulate the Egyptian people and government on the recent parliamentary elections that completed the country's road map after June 30 revolution.
