Horoscopes: A serene quality to May

Horoscopes:
A serene quality to May
By Imhotep
May marks a change for Cancerians, Leonians and Virgoans. Changes, Imhotep predicts, for the better. People born under all three signs appear at the moment to be doing what they can to avoid confrontations with family, friends and colleagues at work.
Try to patch things up. And, everyone concerned, Imhotep foresees, will eventually succeed in their endeavours to find peace and quiet.
Squabbling between rival strong-willed people has contributed to the general gloom. Behind the disquiet is a tectonic collision between two domineering personalities. But rest assured, all concerned, Imhotep knows that there is usually a silver lining if one looks hard enough.
Seeking a way to peace and prosperity through uncertain times people born under the Cardinal Water sign of Cancer (22 Jun - 22 Jul) will, in the weeks ahead, need plenty of time to ponder and reflect on their lives. Peace of mind is a quality Cancerians fully appreciate.
Cancerians will spend less of their lives at work than ever before. Yet, they shall be far more productive, healthier and happier. As Crabs spend less time at work, they will surprisingly be making more money. Don't ask me how. The point is that Cancerians certainly need the cash.
Cancerians are not particularly money- minded, even though they are characteristically economical, and spend money sensibly and do not waste it on unnecessary luxuries. The virtues of thrift, hard work and creativity will stand Cancerians in good stead this May.
Obstinate Cancerians refuse to knuckle under and do not bow easily to pressure of any kind. Cancerians never kow-tow to curry favour with superiors. But then neither are they known for outspoken brashness.
Crabs are often much too scared of making a fool of themselves. Level- headed and calculating Crabs will have the last laugh towards the end of May. The Crabs' generosity of spirit will certainly be a strong selling point by the middle of the month.
People born under the Fixed Fire sign of Leo (23 Jul - 22 Aug) love being centre-stage. With some Leonians this particular character trait borders on pathological egocentricity. But in May, wise Lions as Leonians are sometimes called, will have sufficient humility to acknowledge their own imperfections.
The reputation of the other more egoistic Lions, though, will appear to be more satanic than usual in May. Sensible Lions are alert, curious and perceptive creatures. But be aware, Lions, curiosity killed the cat.
Big cats are quite fixed in their opinions. But May is a month, Imhotep predicts, that does provide some scope for flexibility for Lions.
Lions do not scare easily. Even though some Big Cats are known to be incurable hypochondriacs. In May a health scare might send some Lions round the bend. Imhotep advises Leonians not to make mountains out of molehills. By the end of May Lions will be given a clean bill of health by their physicians.
Sated with sex, Leos will want much more than self-gratification in May. The voracious sexual appetites of the Big Cats is not merely prurience or sensation-seeking. In fact, in May Lions are destined to reach out to matters spiritual. It's a golden opportunity, Leonians, so grab it.
People born under the Mutable Earth sign of Virgo (23 Aug - 22 Sep), give a lacklustre performance when a difficult task demands physical effort and self-sacrifice. May finds Virgoans labouring under the strain of a health concern. Nothing serious, but annoying all the same. Virgoans are interested in interesting people, but are often found lacking the confidence to socialise.
Virgoans are going through a bad patch, and Imhotep understands their need for peace and quiet.
My dear Virgoans, being at peace with oneself is very often a laborious business. Many Virgoans have, in the past few months, felt very let down by family and friends. Some Virgoans will be driven to extraordinary protests about their unfair treatment. Virgoans need tangible evidence that they are loved. It is hard to find anything cheerful in this, Imhotep understands, but by the end of the month people will acknowledge the Virgoans' right to a fair hearing.
Many Virgoans might feel overcome by an overwhelming sense of failure in early May. Please take heart. Some Virgoans take life much too seriously. Virgoans need to look at life more light-heartedly this May and they'll enjoy themselves enormously.
