Horoscopes:
Two hearts that beat as one
By Imhotep
The Venus transit dawns upon us, and the Moon is high in the heavens. The feminine will be vindicated, the masculine must make way for the softer, more sensitive side of human nature. It is time to turn our eyes heaven-ward to witness this heaven- sent event.
On Tuesday 8 June, lovebirds courtship becomes a fine art. People of all walks of life will be acutely aware of their need for a romantic attachment. Happily married couples will draw closer. Pre-nuptial romances will flourish more passionately than ever. Watch the lovers walk hand in hand by the Nile, two hearts that beat as one.
The Mediterranean, especially the southern half, and the Middle East -- and in particular Israel, Iraq and Iran -- afford excellent chances of a clear view of the Venus transit. Egypt is one of the countries that will be especially influenced by the Venus transit -- and most favourably so.
As Venus passes across the disc of the Sun, the Flame Tree of Cairo that graces the city at this time of year, with its flamboyant and eye-catching vermillion bloom fills the air with passionate expectations.
People with a Venus-ruled Ascendant, Sun or Moon sign will be the first to tie the knot with their true love.
Life might sometimes seem like a labyrinth with no exit for people born under the Cardinal Water sign of Cancer (22 Jun-22 Jul). Don't defer an important decision indefinitely. Crabs, as Cancerians are sometimes called, often procrastinate. And in June there is a likelihood that Crabs will pay a terrible price for procrastination. So hurry up Cancerians and make up your minds.
When there is a will, there is a way. Do, dear Crabs, and don't dawdle. Crabs are naturally secretive, but they are forward- looking and imaginative too. Go on, Crabs, make your dreams come true.
You have big plans, but are hesitant about going ahead with your carefully thought-out schemes. The details of your plans are getting a bit hazy in your minds at the moment. Don't worry, once you put your heart to it, you can work wonders.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, and Cancerians are very strongly influenced by the Moon. The Moon stands for emotions. But Crabs do not wear their hearts on their sleeves. It is very difficult for others to tell what the secretive Cancerians think. In June, Crabs would be well-advised to keep their innermost thoughts to themselves.
A triple Cancerian, one who's Sun sign is Cancer, Moon sign is Cancer and has Cancer in the Ascendant is very typically Cancerian. Triple Cancerians will be emotionally charged around the time of their birthdays, and especially so if their birthday falls in late June.
People born under the Fixed Fire sign of Leo (23 Jul-22 Aug) are exacting. June will find a Lion or two steeling their hearts against a friend or family member.
But June is a month when many an eligible Leo bachelor will pledge his troth to the love of his life. This is especially so for Lions with a Venus-ruled sign in the Ascendant. Those Leos with a Venus-ruled Moon sign such as Taurus or Libra will find ample opportunity in June for romantic escapades.
People born under the Mutable Earth sign of Virgo (23 Aug-22 Sep) have a tendency to dig their heels in when confronted with unexpected change.
In June Virgoans will have to undergo many changes in their lives. Dear Virgoans, remember that people don't always get to their destination in one giant step. Many lose sight of their goals, as they sample different unconventional remedies that offer to mitigate an array of challenges.
Virgoans don't appreciate being pushed around. In June, dear Virgoans, you'll be forced to take a stand on a number of vitally important issues that impact your life. You instinctively know that you have to face these issues. Take it easy and relax. Yes, Imhotep understands that you have to be on your guard. No matter what circumstances you find yourself in, salvation is always at hand.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius
