Horoscopes:
Challenging times
By Imhotep
Sea Goats, as people born under the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec-22 Jan) are sometimes called, are in for a period of uncertainty and instability.
Capricornians instinctively search for the right outlook to life. The month of October comes loaded with fresh challenges for Sea Goats in the arena of romance and affairs of the heart. In the workplace, too, Sea Goats will be called upon to prove their mettle.
Most Capricornians will succeed in showing that they are worth their salt. Mind you, Sea Goats must watch out against the complacency that comes with success. Watch out, Sea Goats, for the evil eye. Others are green with envy as you seem to have it all. You can ward off the evil eye, dear Capricornians, by launching a charm offensive.
Try to be more attentive to the needs of others, especially those who are not as fortunate as you. Also, be more sensitive to the needs of those closest and dearest to you. A mildly tense domestic drama is in the offing, though, my dear Capricorns. At the workplace, too, your authority will be challenged and your patience will be tested to the limit my dear Sea Goats.
Water Bearers, as people born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan-19 Feb) are sometimes called will have it all this month: piety and pleasure.
Water Bearers will gravitate towards religion and matters spiritual in the weeks ahead. Ramadan, for example, will have an especially dramatic impact on Muslim Aquarians in the second half of October. Radical changes are underway in the persona and outlook to life of Aquarians by the end of October. Big decisions that impact those you care for most will be made.
Spiritual alienation and the full spectre of sin will also emerge as a terrible temptation in October for Aquarians. Your faith might be rattled a little by your experiences. And nightmares long forgotten will return to haunt you. Be strong. Persevere. Aquarians can weather the worst storms. They are born survivors. So flush out negative thinking, my dear Water Bearers.
That means that you must not make big decisions in isolation, nor that you have to do everything yourself. Friends are there to help. You know that you are passing through a difficult phase of your life. But remember, dear Water Bearers that each successive stage of existence unfolds more goodness and love.
Children might short your fuse easily, but you must learn to be patient with the little ones, Imhotep counsels you to take a calm approach to difficult situations. Beware of testy impatience. Brooding resentment and self-pity will get you nowhere.
A less self-centred approach to life might lead you to a happier state of affairs in November. Your life would then be full of fun and reverie.
People born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb-21 Mar) might appear to be embroiled in a tug of war between family and career in October. My dear Pisceans, just mete your time out carefully.
The intuition of the Pisces-born is highly evolved. Expect some turbulence on the marital front, but rest assured my dear Pisceans, all troubles of the heart will soon fade away. You will experience a surge of unpredictable energy and you'll be going places. So prepare for take off.
A pair of Fish swimming in opposite directions represents Pisceans. This peculiar mascot indicates that Pisceans are often torn between opposing affections and inclinations. Part of you wants to do something, my dear Piscean, and another desires something entirely different.
November will accentuate this inherent Piscean dilemma. Pisceans must steer a course between discretion and forthrightness towards the middle of the month.
Pisceans can feel the depths that others can only dream of. They are destined to sample a foretaste of heaven in late October and early November. Imhotep foresees a blissful feeling of contentment and peace of mind enveloping Pisceans. With such indescribable happiness will come a great deal of satisfaction and an overpowering feeling of warmth and affection for others.
No one can snatch your newfound happiness away from you in the weeks ahead.
