Horoscopes:
On wet ground
By Imhotep
The Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec-22 Jan) is symbolised by the Sea Goat, a mythical creature, half goat and half fish -- a key indicator to the personality traits characteristic of people born under this solid Earth sign. Few Sea Goats can swim for long in the soul's turbulent waters. They instinctively struggle to the shore, and pull themselves onto firm ground.
Expect changes in the weeks ahead, my dear Sea Goats. If you want to depart from your usual ways, my dear Capricorns, the stars say it is time.
Imhotep foresees a challenge or two for Sea Goats in March. Capricorns might be called upon to muster all their problem- solving skills by the end of the month. But, even when faced with a mountain of problems, they rarely succumb to self-pity, or self-doubt.
Practical Capricorns may not believe in love at first sight, but they certainly don't think that it is impossible. Expect some turbulence on the marital front, but rest assured my dear Sea Goats, all troubles of the heart will soon fade away.
Sea Goats will fall in love, and even make love on impulse. You, my dear Capricornians, will most certainly not be impressed with delaying tactics.
Sea Goats will have ample opportunity in the last two weeks of the month to prove they are still punching.
And, there is nothing Capricorns love more than a good fight.
Ruled by the outrageous planet Uranus, Water Bearers, as people born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan-19 Feb) are sometimes called, have a tendency to spend money like water.
The planet Saturn rules both Capricorn and Aquarius, and the two zodiac signs are opposite sides of the same coin. Saturn is the karmic initiator of the zodiac.
Some Water Bearers can be slippery characters, but most are good-humoured. Still, Aquarians have razor-sharp tongues. So try not to be grumpy in the weeks ahead my dear Water Bearers. It's in your best interest to choose not to be cantankerous in your dealings with others. You may have been trying to do too much, leaving yourself exhausted, irritable and prone to disease. A little extra sleep wouldn't go amiss.
Look beyond the superficial and delve into the inner natures of the beings who people your surroundings. It's the ideas that count. My dear Aquarians, this is your chance to glimpse something of the metaphysical spheres of life -- grab it.
You'll be happy to potter along quite pleasingly in March, my dear Fish, as people born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb-21 Mar) are sometimes called. You'll be forced to make a decision by the end of the month. Smile, nod and say "let me think about it" -- no matter how much pressure you are receiving.
Pisces is symbolised by two fishes swimming in opposite directions. Pisceans are generally of an exceptionally spiritual disposition, even though they are also drawn to the sensual.
The Dolphin, and not the Fish, is often seen as the mascot of this most sensuous and sensitive Sun sign. The ancients believed that those highly intelligent and sensitive sea- creatures brought sailors safely home to the sea of life. In March, Dolphins will indeed save many lost souls.
Some Pisceans like to swim along with the crowds, like shoals of Whiting or Sardines. Others are loners like the dreaded Whale Shark. Pisceans might feel a bit anti-social these days, preferring to withdraw into a dream world where their creative and imaginative qualities can bring mental satisfaction. Careless and inconsiderate comments can cut them deep. Imhotep urges Pisceans not to be too touchy in the weeks ahead. Claim your right to be victor and not victim.
The most perfect time for you, my dear Dolphins, will be the first week in March.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Aries, Taurus
