Horoscopes:
Dates and dilemmas
By Imhotep
You may be feeling a bit on the thoughtful, and extremely emotional side, my dear Sea Goats, as people born under the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec-22 Jan) are sometimes called. If your friends are trying to talk you into heading out, but you are really not in the mood, why force yourself? Invite them over, or not.
Still thinking about how much you'd like to make a great big change in your immediate environment? If it's enough to stay put and redecorate, then do it. If not, let your mind wander. What might feel more like "home"?
Ruled by the stern planet Saturn, Sea Goats are practical and family-oriented creatures. The Sea Goat, a mythical creature half-goat and half-fish, is a pensive creature, often shy and retiring, who habitually shuns the limelight.
Saturn is the karmic initiator of the zodiac. May is a month when powerful karmic influences will overwhelm Sea Goats. Business-like Sea Goats may not believe in love at first sight, but they certainly don't think that it is impossible.
If you are not in love, my dear Sea Goats, you could be in a matter of weeks. Make sure you spend your time with the person you already feel bonded to. Plan something romantic for every evening in May. It might help accentuate the process along.
Some Sea Goats have a sadistic streak. Indeed, Sea Goats will have ample opportunity especially in the last two weeks of the month to prove they are still punching. Enjoy.
Ruled by the outrageous planet Uranus, Water Bearers, as people born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan-19 Feb) are sometimes called, are gregarious people with boundless energy. Upbeat and forward-looking, Water Bearers loathe nothing more than to be bogged down in messy dilemmas.
Water Bearers have razor-sharp tongues, and when cornered and frustrated will lash out against their tormentors.
There now, after weeks of wondering what to do about that situation that has been hovering in the air at least since your birthday, the universe has suddenly provided you with a solution. It is about time, too.
May is a momentous month for Water Bearers. Here's a month off from all that emotional nonsense you were dealing with in March and April and it will be more than welcome. While you are enjoying it, however, don't forget that some types of emotions are always appreciated. Passion, for example.
In May, don't even take the chance, my dear Water Bearers, that you won't catch the phone on the fourth ring. Answer it, oh so casually -- after the three times, at the most. You'll definitely want to hear this.
Ruled by the mysterious Neptune, Dolphins, as people born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb-21 Mar) are sometimes called, are acutely impressionable beings. As sensitive as you are, my dear Dolphins, it is often tough to separate your feelings from those of the ones you love. At the moment, though, you really need to do just that -- it is important to take care of yourself, too.
Dolphins are considerate and generous creatures. You are chatting away, unsuspectingly, and more than happy to let anyone and everyone know exactly how you are feeling. Watch out, though -- your manner might be more intimidating to colleagues than you think.
You, my dear Dolphins, can afford to be picky in May, and in any other month for that matter. You don't mind your own company at all, and you know within five seconds of meeting someone if there is anything there.
So, my dear Dolphins, don't spend your time with anyone you are really not interested in.
Indeed, an admirer may be a bit too interested. And, yes, that is possible. So if they suddenly ask more of you than you're even remotely ready to give, don't back down, my dear Dolphins. Just say no.
