Horoscopes:
Water of life
By Imhotep
August shall see the Sea Goats, as people born under the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec-22 Jan) are sometimes called, attracted to sea shores and river banks. And on your way to the beach you shall stumble across someone special.
A fleeting affair, perhaps, by a seaside resort? Water and romance -- a refreshing combination for Sea Goats. Oh, but you'll still need a breath of fresh air soon afterwards. Earthy Capricornians love anything solid and durable. Affairs, no matter how passionate, don't really appeal to them unless they develop into something very serious and long- lasting.
Nuptial bliss is on the cards by early August. As Sea Goats do not cope well with the transitory nature of human ties, that would suit them just fine.
Capricornians instinctively search for the right outlook on life. In August, Sea Goats shall be satisfied with their lot. They shall have their cake and eat it. Mind you, Sea Goats must be on guard against the complacency that comes with success. Watch out, Sea Goats, for the evil eye. Others are green with envy as you seem to have it all. You can ward off the evil eye, dear Capricornians, by launching a charm offensive.
Sea Goats demand loyalty from friends and lovers. Loyalty, of course, is a two-way street. Try to be more attentive to the needs of others, especially those who are not as fortunate as you. Also, be more sensitive to the needs of those closest to you.
People born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan-19 Feb) need a booster now. A break-up with a loved one hurts. Don't act as if this is the end of the world. The end of July might be a testing time, but with the beginning of August comes a freshness that you have not felt for a long time. For the time being, recharge your energies. Do not dwell on the negative. Think positive.
Soften up your rigid, unbending attitude. August will find you in a happier state of mind. Trust in yourself and your capabilities. Water-Bearers, as Aquarians are sometimes called, are confident and ambitious people. So flush out negative thinking.
Romance is on your mind these days. Is your spouse or partner truly the right one for you? You can pick up valuable information on the subject if you listen to those with more experience. That means that you must not make big decisions in isolation, or that you have to do everything yourself. Friends are there to help. You know that you are passing through a difficult phase of your life. But remember, dear Water- Bearers that each successive stage of existence unfolds more goodness and love.
Brooding resentment and self-pity will get you nowhere.
So remember Aquarians to be nice and loving this August, and you'll come out smiling.
August will surely give people born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb-21 Mar) a foretaste of heaven. Imhotep foresees a blissful feeling of contentment and peace of mind. With such indescribable happiness will come a great deal of satisfaction and an overpowering feeling of warmth and affection for others.
No one can snatch your new-found happiness away from you in the weeks ahead. You shall, my dear Pisceans, surrender to something, or someone, magical.
And, there is nothing a true Piscean enjoys more than sweet surrender.
