Egypt seeks development with African countries: PM Qandil PM Hisham Qandil says Egypt should work with African countries to eradicate poverty and illiteracy
Egypt's Prime Minister Hisham Qandil says the Egyptian government is seeking to coordinate with African countries for future development in the continent. Qandil said in an address at the African Insurance Organisation's (AIO) 40th conference on Monday that the conference itself is an indicator of solidarity between African countries. Egypt, together with other African countries,needs to make efforts to eliminate poverty, illiteracy and illnesses he stated, adding that Africa needs stability to overcome difficulties and build the future it deserves. President Mohamed Morsi is also currently attending the 21st African Union summitin Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, where hediscussed with Ethiopia's PM Hailemariam Desalegn that both countries' interestsare addressed during the building of the Renaissance Dam in Ethiopia. Ethiopia-Egypt negotiations began as experts alerted that it will reduce Egypt's share of the Nile's potable water.
