Gyan insists he had no choice but to quit Sunderland
The Ghana striker says if he makes a permanent move to Emirati side Al-Ain it will be because the Black Cats don't want him anymore

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has stressed that if he leaves Sunderland it will be because they don't want him anymore at the Stadium of Lights.
"I didn't really say that (I am not happy there). I left Sunderland in peace. I had no problem with anybody," he told the National Thursday.
"When Al-Ain made an offer, they accepted it and I had to move. I had no choice but to move," he added.
The 26-year old striker joined the Black Cats in summer 2010 for a club record of £13 million but he made a shock move to the Emirati side last summer on a year-long loan deal.
He is in talks with Al-Ain officials to make his move permanent and revealed that he is only doing so because Sunderland do not want him to return.
"The team was good for me. I love the fans and I love the club. They bought me for £13 million and they did a lot for my career.
"When I left there the fans were very good to me. I didn't have any negative feelings towards anybody. In football you need to move sometimes," he concluded.
