O'Neill considers Gyan recall Sunderland's new coach Martin O'Neill is considering a possible recall for Ghana's striker Asamoah Gyan as a solution of Black Cats' scoring problem
Martin O'Neill said on Thursday he looks for an early return of Ghanaian Striker Asamaoh Gyan who was loaned last September to Emirati club Al-Ain forward. ‘'I will see whether there are clauses in the deal that allows for an early return for the striker,'' O'Neil was quoted as saying by Kickoff. ‘'It's something I'll address. I have to find out exactly where we stand on that. His position will definitely be looked at. ‘' He added. Sunderland have suffered from an inability to score this season, with only 16 goals in 14 matches. Gyan joined Sunderland in the summer of 2010 and he produced a fine performance with the Black Cats the last season, scoring 11 goals in 25 games but he left the Premier League last September to the Emirati Club Al-Ain on a one-year loan in a controversial deal.
