Published in Ahram Online on 17 - 05 - 2019

Ahly cemented their position on the top of the league table after defeating Enppi 2-0 at Petro sport stadium on Thursday.
Winger Hussein El-Shahat gave Ahly an early lead in the fourth minute while substitute striker Marwan Mohsen added the second in stoppage time.
The Red Devils have now 73 points, seven ahead second-placed Zamalek with the latter have two matches on hands.
Ahly made a good start of the game with Hussein El-Shahat squandered a golden chance in the second minute of the game when he eased-past his challenger inside the area but his effort went over the bar.
Two minutes later El-Shahat received a long pass from Ahmed Fathi that he made him clear to score easily from a close range.
Enppi responded quickly and they were close on leveling the score in the 13 minute but Mohamed Bassyouni's nice header from close range was denied by the keeper.
Hussein El-Shahat had the chance to double the seal just before heading to the locker room but he failed to control the ball giving the chance to Enppi keeper to collect the ball.
Enppi winger Bassyouni squandered another chance to score the equalizer but his header went wide seconds after the start of the second half.
The Petroleum side intensified their attack with Ahly opted for defense and the counter- attacks.
In injury time substitute striker Marwan Mohsen who replaced Moroccan striker Walid Azaro in the last five minutes of the game added the second goal for Ahly with a nice curling shot from outside the area to secure the win.
