Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong revealed on Wednesday his intention to play for Ghana's national team once he establishes himself with the Gunners. ‘'Hopefully when the right comes I will play for Ghana but at the moment I need to play for Arsenal," Frimpong quoted as saying by Kickoff.com. "This season is about to start so we are going to see what happens. Ghana is there for me so when the opportunity comes I am going to come and play." The 19-year-old, who came through Arsenal's youth ranks, produced some impressive displays during the team's pre-season preparations, including in a friendly against Argentinean giants River Plate. Frimpong , who represented the England U17 team, said he would support Ghana from the stands when they meet Nigeria in an international friendly against Nigeria next week. "I think we are going to win the game. Nigeria is a good side but Ghana will win 2-1. I think Asamoah Gyan will score and so will Kwadwo Asamoah. It's going to be a good night,” added Frimpong, who is yet to make his debut with Arsenal's first team.
