South Africa manager encourages Egypt to win final qualifyers South Africa coach Mosimane praises his squad while offering words of support for the Egyptian national ahead of their two remaining qualification matches
After South Africa's goalless draw with three-time ACN champions Egypt, team manager Pitso Mosimane expressed pleasure during the post-match press conference at his side's achievement and embraced the players' performances. “We are happy with the result,” Mosimane told the press conference, adding “It could have been better. Three times we were one-on-one with the goalkeeper.” “I have brave players, they help each other” he added. The 46-year old manager asserted that his team doesn't depend on star power. Rather he has taught his players to play in harmony, as a team. “This is a good team with no individual stars. Stars can help you, but sometimes when you have a team with no stars, you just have brave boys who play for the team.” Mosimane said. At the end of his announcements, Bafana Bafana coach encouraged Egypt's players to seize their chances in the remaining two games of the 2012 ACN qualifiers -- against Sierra Leone and Niger -- in order to please their fans and save their history. South Africa are in the driving seat of Group G table in the ACN with eight points, two ahead of Niger and three clear with Sierra Leone, while Egypt is in bottom with only two points.
