An improvised explosive devise detonated in the Nasr City district of Cairo on Friday afternoon. There have been no reports of injuries so far. The device exploded in front of Al-Salam Mosque, creating panic and chaos in the area, according to Al-Ahram Arabic. The security forces erected a security cordon around the blast's location, and have deployed explosives experts to the site. Since the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi last summer, violent attacks, mainly targeting security sites and personnel, have increased dramatically. The government blames Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood for the violence, although the Brotherhood has denied any link. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/102044.aspx
