CAIRO: The Salafi Group in Egypt called on all demonstrators in Tahrir Square to stage a sit-in pending the realization of all demands, saying the January 25 Revolution actually began Tuesday. They also called on the Egyptian Military to hand over authority in the square, to try ousted president Hosni Mubarak, and to release all political detainees. The group also called to exclude the remnants of the former National Democratic Party from participating in the elections, and changing the name of the "Law of Corrupting Political Life" to the "Law of Political Exclusion." The protesting Salafi youth also chanted slogans with their demands. Meanwhile, several marches rejected Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi's speech and the possibility of keeping Tantawi in the power.
