Aswan: Security forces on Aswan governorate's Western desert road detected a car attempting to break a roadblock after shooting towards police officers. After inspecting the car, a number of automatic weapons and 400 bullets were found, smuggled from the Libyan border. Recently, the Aswan Security Authority, headed by Hassan Mohamed Hassan, the assistant of Minister of Interior, increased security presence on desert roads and the entrances and exits to the governorate, after an increase in the weapon and drugs trade. The incident was recorded and prosecution was notified.
