General coalition of policemen media spokesman Hassan Shendy announced organizing a demonstration outside the Ministry of Interior headquarters on Monday October 24. This demonstration simultaneously coincides with other demonstrations outside the headquarters of security directorates in all governorates of Egypt. These demonstrations call for cleansing the Ministry from remnants of former Minister of Interior Habib al-Adly, dismissing all those who corrupt and to put them on trial. They also called for the rights of individuals and policemen. Shendy added the demonstrations may change to strikes if none of their demands are met and if there is no response. He pointed out the coalition put certain techniques to avoid any clashes within the existence of all members of the general coalition, workers at the central region outside the Ministry of Interior and headquarters of the directorates of the ministry. He mentioned the demonstration will be limited to those who are have free time during their week, while other policemen will continue with what they are assigned with.
