Demonstrators call to cleanse media of corruption

CAIRO: Tens of demonstrators gathered today outside Maspiro, the headquarters of the Egyptian television and radio, and demanded to cleanse the Egyptian media of corruption.
The demonstrators raised the banners demanding the removal of remnants of the former regime from the media profession in Egypt. Security forces tightened security measures around the building, located close to Cairo's now-iconic Tahrir Square.
The demonstrators also demanded the suspension of military trials of civilians.
