CAIRO: Tens of the Syrian community in Egypt organized a protest outside the Arab League headquarters in Cairo yesterday, located at the edge of the city's iconic Tahrir Square. The demonstrators asked Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi to freeze Syria's membership in the league and oppose the aggression of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad again demonstrators. Many Egyptian political activists and citizens joined the Syrian protestors. They announce their solidarity with the Syrian revolution, holding Egyptian and Syrian flags and chanting slogans against al-Assad's regime. Tahrir Square witnessed a state of traffic confusion as a result of this crowd in front of the Arab League. Central Security Forces and Arab League guards gathered around the building to prevent any trouble.
