Demonstrators today burned the Israeli flag outside the Arab League headquarters to protest Israel's continued refusal to negotiate for a Palestinian State, and to support the Palestinian effort at statehood at the United Nations in New York. Protestors chanted, “God is the Greatest” and “We Don't Want an Israeli Embassy in Egyptian Territory.” Meanwhile, Syrian demonstrators burned the flag of the ruling Ba'ath Party, headed by embattled Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, and chanted, “The People Want Bashar's Execution.” Tens of demonstrators from the Salafi Youth Movement and graduates from the faculty of law also demonstrated in Tahrir Square today. Some Tahrir demonstrators organized a march to the Arab League to show support for Palestine, Syria, Yemen and Libya.
