Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs spokesman Amr Roshdy assured the continuity of investigations in a fire accident in coordination with the Egyptian embassy in Paris and the two Egyptian consulates to ensure if any Egyptians died or not. There was a fire in a building in Paris Thursday morning, where illegal migrants from Egypt and other Arab countries resided. Roshdy said although it is difficult to recognize the charred bodies or identify them, the team of the Egyptian delegation, in coordination with the Egyptian community in Paris, was able to reach one of the Egyptian resident's parents. They were informed there is a probability of one Egyptian who might have died in the fire. French authorities agreed to let the team attend the first hearing of the investigations on Thursday, where there was a headcount of the residents in the building during the fire to be able to identify the identities of those who died. Roshdy ensured the Ministry will continue to support and provide help and needed cooperation if it was proven there were Egyptians among the deceased in the accident. They will also maintain following up on the development of events to inform the public opinion.
