The former Egyptian Ambassador to Israel, Mohamed Bassiouny, died Sunday at the age of 74 after a lifelong career in the military and the diplomatic corps. Bassiouny's son, Hatem Mohamed Bassiouny, said his father died at home. Bassiouny suffered from diabetes and blood pressure disease. He had undergone surgery but his case did not improve. Bassiouny's funeral will be at Military Forces' “Al Rashdan” Mosque in Nasr City after afternoon prayers. Mourning will be on Monday at the same mosque.
