Egypt press reported the Israeli investigations on the border incidents, the Egyptian Coptic Christians' role in Gama'a al-Islamiyya's Party's program and the accusation against the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's of killing 7,000 soldiers in 1986. Youm7: Daily newspaper Youm7 exclusively obtained the full text of Egyptian political activist Wael Ghonim's testimony about his incidents of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution. Ghonim said the former Ministers of Interior, Habib al-Adly and Mahmoud Wagdi, and the former chairman of State Security Investigation (SSI), Hassan Abdel Rahman, are responsible for his kidnapping and imprisonment in headquarters of SSI. In other news, the paper reported Egypt has been handed over the results of Isreali investigations about the Egyptian-Israeli border incidents in which five Egyptian soldiers were killed by Israeli weapons. The outcome pointed out Israeli troops did not intend to open fire on Egyptian soldiers. An Israeli airplane took photos showing gunmen in Egyptian military uniform launched an RPG rocket at the plane, and the Israeli airplane opened fire in defense against the rocket. Al-Ahram: The Egyptian governor of Sinai denounced the Israeli reports claiming there is a big quantity of smuggled weapons from Libya to Sinai and the Gaza Strip. He said these reports aim to trigger chaos and tension. He also said guards of Egyptian borders strongly control all the boundaries at both the Libyan and Israeli sides. Al-Akhbar: The European Commissioner announced a new aid package to Egypt to improve the cost of living, to create new job opportunities, and to provide sustainable energy as much as possible. The aid is valued at € 100 million (U.S. $). The former Egyptian nuclear security expert of Nuclear Energy Authority, Mahmoud el-Essawi, said Egypt should accelerate with the nuclear plant since Arab and Gulf countries started to establish nuclear reactors. Egypt can then stop borrowing efficient laborers. Al-Masry Al-Youm: The newspaper reports the Israeli National Security advisor, Yaakov Amedror, said Israel will not conduct joint investigations with Egypt concerning the border incidents. The newspaper added Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's government discussed with Egypt's ruling military council the matter of Israel's slow process of carrying out said investigations. The paper also quoted a governmental official saying, “The Egyptian Ambassador to Tel-Aviv could be withdrawn if Israel does not meet Egyptian demands.” In another story, the paper exclusively published the program of Gama'a al-Islamiyya's new party. The program calls to: • Build an open-minded system. • Insure care for foreigners and tourists. • Not push the military forces into political life. • Call for independency for all Islamic entities and merging Ministry of Awqaf with Al-Azhar institute. • Empower all women to join political life, in conjunction with Islamic Sharia Law. • Provide the right to hold religious rituals for non-Muslims. • Liberate the economy and develop the legislations to adapt with Islamic jurisdictions. Al-Shorouq: In the case of the Egyptian Court jury deciding there is contradiction in the defense notes in Mubarak's and al-Adly's trials, the lawyer Farid el-Dib should choose between his two clients in case one of them tries to blame the other in the case of killing January 25 Revolution martyrs. The North Sinai governor said there is no group affiliated to al-Qaeda in Sinai and the reports claim that Bin Laden's doctor is in Sinai is baseless. Al-Gomhorreya: Attacks and insults against the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members are schemes aiming to arouse a state of panic among the leaders of Freedom and Justice Party to prevent its representative from running for parliamentary elections, said a member of the MB, Gamal Heshmat.
