Egypt press reported an Youm7 interview with the younger brother of Sadiq al-Ahmar, who is currently the chief of Yemen's powerful Hasheed tribe. Youm7: The Washington Institute criticized the new electoral system in Egypt, considering it a setback on the road to democracy. The system tries to reclaim the dictatorial rule in Egypt. In the case of competition on one-third of parliamentary seats through elections of individual system, former members of the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP) could win these seats. In other story, Youm7 interviewed the younger brother of Sadiq al-Ahmar, who is the current chief of Yemen's powerful Hasheed tribe. He is the son of Sheikh Abdullah bin Husayn bin Nasser al-Ahmar, his predecessor as chief and a key political and tribal figure in Yemeni history. Al-Ahmar said the Egyptians and Arabs support the Libyan and Syrian revolutions but ignored their brothers in Yemen. He added the Yemenis are almost losing their patience over President Ali Saleh not stepping down. Al-Ahram; State-run newspaper Al-Ahram reported Prime Minister Deputy and Egyptian Minister of Finance, Hazem Beblawi, said the decision of minimum and maximum wages will be issued within two weeks after Egypt's Cabinet's approval. The newspaper also obtained full texts of investigations about the fortunes of former Shura Council spokesman, Safwat al-Sharif, and former Peoples' Assembly spokesman, Fathi Sorour. El-Sharif used to gain 50 million EGP (U.S. $8.38), while sorour made use his postition to gain large fortunes. Al-Akhbar: The European parliament highlighted the legitimacy of Palestine's request to be a member in the UN. The parliament also called to stop the settlement expansion. It asked majority of EU members to support Palestine's demand. Al-Masry Al-Youm: The Freedom and Justice Party, Al-Gamaa Islamiyya, and the Salafis announced their boycott of the Firday September 30 demonstration in Tahrir Square, called the Friday of Reclaming the Revolution. In other story, according to judicial resources, State Security Prosecution ended the investigations about the storming of the Israeli Embassy in Egypt. The Public Prosecutor will annouce his decsion about the Embassy incident within three days, according to sources. The newspaper interviewed the Sudanese Minister of Transport, who said the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's regime is the main cause of deteriorating in the Egyptian-Sudanese bilateral economic relations. Al-Shorouq: Independent newspaper Al-Shorouq held a symposuim with certain Palestinain intellectuals to discuss the siege of intellectualism and presurres on Palestinian Preisdent Mahmoud Abu Mazen. The Palestinains expressed their complaints to Egyptians about ban publlishing Palestinain cultures. Al- Gomhorreya: The Egyptian Cabinet takled all problems Egyptians confront on Thursday, to find a solution. The Cabinet discussed economic issues, espacially the control of high prices of basic commodities.
