CAIRO – Wael Ghonim, an Egyptian revolutionary who works as Google's market executive, will be awarded the press freedom prize from the Swedish section of Reporters Without Borders, the Swedish embassy in Cairo said on Thursday. "Ghonim will receive the annual prize because his courageous use of social medias, such as Facebook and Twitter, is an important source of inspiration for the Egyptian movement for democracy,” read the statement. Ghonim, 30, topped a list of the world's most influential figures of the Time magazine as the face of the Egyptian revolution, which toppled former president Hosni Mubarak.
