Despite high temperatures and the holy month of Ramadan – where Muslims fast from dawn to dusk – the streets outside the Egyptian People's Assembly saw many protestors outside the Cabinet. Four Egyptian families demonstrated outside the Cabinet, ultimately deciding to stage a sit-in until their demand, to receive housing in their neighborhoods, is met. Nadia Mustafa, a 48-year-old widow, called on Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf to give her a house. She has a document from Port Said governorate proving her right to a house. She said the governorate gave houses to unite the town of Zerzara. Ahmed Said's wife, a resident in the Port Said governorate, said her husband is an Olympic champion but he injured. She is asking for a house to share with her disabled husband. Suzanne Helbawy, from Qalyubia governorate, continued her sit-in, which started two months ago, until a house is provided for her. She was dismissed from a rented house because she could not pay the rent money – a result of her husband disappearing since the January 25 Revolution. "My husband has not come home for six months, and I don't have a house for me and my kids," said Naglaa Foud from Minya governorate in Upper Egypt.
