Civil defense forces controlled a fire in an Egyptian plane

CAIRO: The civil defense forces controlled a fire that erupted during boarding of an Egyptian aircraft bound for Jeddah at 8:45 a.m. on Friday.
Passengers discovered the fire – caused by an electrical malfunction – and left the plane immediately. The fire started after 250 passengers boarded.
The civil defense forces tamped out the fire and saved passengers' baggage, but the cabin of the plane suffered marked damage where the fire originated.
