CAIRO: Twenty-five political parties and coalitions, five candidates for presidency and six public figures decided to form a new government with new leadership to meet the demands of the protesters in Tahrir Square. It will bring together political and technocratic nature and have powers to enable it to carry out its duties. The new government will determine its powers regarding its relation with the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF). Egyptian author Gamal Fahmy mentioned Amr Moussa's opinion about suggesting the new government. "Amr Moussa agrees with the new statement, but he wants to give Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's amended government a chance, in case it has powers and ability to take leadership." The signatories of the statement emphasized they will meet all demands of protesters, agreed upon during a press conference held in the press syndicate. They said the military council guarantees the safety of all protesters in all of Egypt's squares and streets. They support the protesters' demands and all forms of protesting as long as they are peaceful. George Ishak asked the military council to accelerate the trial of the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. It should be noted the signatories include the possible candidates Mohamed el-Baradei, Amr Moussa , Ayman Nour and others.
