American writer and researcher John Calvert will be signing his recently published book ‘Sayyid Qutb and Islamic Radicalism' at Khan Library in Maadi at 7:30pm tonight. He is also celebrating his translation of “A child from a country” by Sayyid Qutb from English into Arabic. The translated book is published by AUC. Calvert will present his motivations to translate the book, when his interest of Sayyid Qotb began and the details he discovered during his research about Qotb's stay in the United States. These details formed the base of his thoughts. Then Calvert will hold an open dialogue with the audience. The celebration will end with music.
