Protesting journalists of the national radio and television magazine have denied that a government official has intervened in order to reconcile them with the editor in chief, Mohamed Abdul-Hamid. There have been attempts by a number of members of the syndicate to return the journalists to work and end their sit-in. The media coordinator of the protests, Ahmed el-Hadary, told reporters that protesters will reject completely any attempt by an official to reconcile them with the editor. El-Hadary said that meetings were already held between them and the editor, and that both parties were friendly and respectful to one another, especially since Abdul- Hamid was willing to address their demands. Abdel-Hamid said that he will try to meet as many of their demands as possible so they can return to the magazine.
