Mohamed Abou-Treika has pledged his future to Ahli by signing a two-year contract and rejecting a ‘lucrative' loan offer from Bani Yas. Ahli said on their website that the midfield icon, who was due to run out of contract in the summer, penned the new deal after agreeing a 50% cut to his wages. “I decided to relinquish 50% of my wages. I think the club need players to do this amid such difficult financial conditions," Abou-Treika told FilGoal.com. “I have also decided to turn down the loan offer from Bani Yas, which was very lucrative by the way but I don't want to leave Ahli." Abou-Treika, 34, has been with Ahli since 2004 and is regarded as one of the club's all-time greats.
