Emirate side Bani Yas have approached Ahli star Mohamed Abou-Treika, football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz revealed. “Yes there is an offer from Bani Yas and there has been a lot of clubs interested in Abou-Treika by the way," Abdul-Hafiz told Modern Sport TV. “He is a special case for us and we will be very happy if he remained with the club until the end of his career, but we'll discuss the Bani Yas offer with him. “We will be talking to him to see how he reacts, but Abou-Treika remains to be an extremely important player for Ahli." Abou-Treika will run out of contract with Ahli in June and has yet to be offered a new deal, even so it is understood that Ahli are reluctant to let him leave. The 34-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs, including Gulf sides, over the past few years but has always been loyal to the Reds. Bani Yas, currently fourth in the UAE League Professional, already have Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan on their books.
