Sunderland have recalled Egypt full-back Ahmed Elmohamady from his loan at Hull City, the English Premier League club said. Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has decided to retrieve the services of his full-back, who has been enjoying an impressive campaign with the Championship side. It is believed that O'Neill's decision is due to the numerous injuries that hit his squad of late, leaving defense trio Carlos Cuellar, Wes Brown and Phil Bardsley on the sidelines. The Scottish tactician has been relying on midfielder Craig Gardner to fill Elmohamady's right-back position for most of the current campaign, with the Black Cats lying 14th so far. Elmo should be available for selection as Sunderland travel to Wigan at the weekend.
